Son netted his third goal in four games in the 2-2 draw AFP Tottenham Hotspur overturned a two-goal half-time deficit, as goals from Pedro Porro and Son Heung-Min earned them a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Tottenham Stadium, putting an end to a four-match losing streak against fellow top-four hopefuls Manchester United. The  Tottenham  faithful were eager for an immediate response to Sunday’s embarrassing 6-1 pummelling at the hands of Newcastle - a match that spelled the end of coach Cristian Stellini’s interim spell in the Spurs hot seat after just four games. Tasked with reviving their top-four push, Ryan Mason had his side playing with intent in the early stages, but once again they fell behind inside seven minutes. Marcus Rashford showed great persistence to hold onto the ball and play it out to Jadon Sancho, and the winger shifted it onto his right foot to calmly strike into the far corner. United  continued to be relentless, and Sancho saw another attempt headed off the line by Ivan

Wrangles among UDA aspirants emerge in Isiolo

Image
UDA aspirants and supporters address journalists in Isiolo town on March 23, 2022. They threatened to defect to Azimio over what they said is wrangling in party.   Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party risks losing members in Isiolo to rival parties due to infighting among aspirants. The wrangles emerged after a gubernatorial aspirant, Hussein Tene, joined the party and ostensibly started side-lining old members and aspirants who had worked hard to popularise the party in the county. The party members and supporters are divided on whether DP Ruto should work with new entrants, such as Mr Tene, or leaders who have been selling the party’s agenda and recruiting new members. The DP currently has no point man in the county, following the recent defection of Woman Rep Rehema Jaldesa to ruling Jubilee Party. Members who have been in the party for long feel they should be given an upper hand over those who joined it recently. Side-lined Isiolo Nort

UNI-TED, United stung by KDB.

Manchester City re-established a six-point cushion at the top of the Premier League (PL) with a 4-1 victory over their fierce rivals Manchester United, to secure a first league double over their noisy neighbours since 2018/19. The pressure was on Manchester City here, with a relentless Liverpool chasing them down in the title race. Not that City were feeling it though and it was the blue moon that rose inside five minutes when Bernardo Silva's perfectly weighted cut-back was rifled home by the on-rushing Kevin De Bruyne and with City boasting an incredible 20-0 record when scoring first this season, United faced an uphill battle. However, United took on the task and levelled the scores midway through the first half. A swift counter finished with Jadon Sancho one-on-one with Kyle Waliser, a drop of the shoulder sent him one way before curling a sumptuous effort beyond the desperate dive of Ederson City continued to land several blows on United and eventually delivered a

The Real investment analysis and to where to invest.

Safaricom shares are currently trading at Ksh 38.81 and they announced an interim dividend of Kshs 0.64 per share. What does this mean to the average investor? Let's break it down.  Going by last year's trend and assuming that they pay a final dividend of 1ksh, your total dividends will be Kshs 1,640,000 for your investment of Kshs 38.81m How does this compare to other investments? If you had enough money to buy 1 million shares, your initial investment would be Kshs 38.81million and your interim dividend this round will be Kshs 640k. The dividend payment is slightly above 4% return per annum (assuming no brokerage fees for share purchase etc) which is pretty decent, given that safaricom is the bluchipest of the blue chip companies. If you invested the money with a fund manager eg CiC whose return last year was a smidge above 9%, your interest payment at the end of the year would have been almost Kshs 3.5million. A real estate investment of Kshs 38.81 million 'should' y
